Podcast import fails with message “could not load css manifest”
Describe the bug
I’m trying to import a podcast but the case is a little bit special. The podcast was hosted on Anchor / Spotify for podcasters but got deleted from there. I have a copy of the RSS feed that I recovered from the Wayback Machine and put online as a GitHub Gist. The mp3 files linked in the RSS feed however are still online, I’m able to go to the URL and download them manually, so I believe the import should work. However, when I try to import the podcast in Castopod by feeding the URL of the raw RSS feed file (hosted as a GitHub Gist), it get (after some waiting time and sometimes a timeout + refresh) a blank page with the following message: “Could not load css manifest: assets/manifest-css.json file not found!”. Then if I refresh the page Castopod works normally but nothing has been imported. I can try to import again but the same happens every time.
Steps to reproduce
- Try to import the podcast by giving as RSS feed URL this: https://gist.githubusercontent.com/thomaskuntzz/c9823125965ad35da69042812fb089b9/raw/dab8882bfb19a7902389cb87ed12c7fc633c5a86/feed2.rss
- Wait and get the error message
Expected behavior
The podcast should be imported normally.
Actual behavior
I get a blank page with the following message: “Could not load css manifest: assets/manifest-css.json file not found!”
Relevant logs and/or screenshots
Context
- Castopod: 1.1.2
- OS: (server) docker image with docker swarm, (client) fedora 37
- Browser: Firefox
- Web server: (server) docker image with docker swarm (I don’t know more about the server environment as I don’t have control over it but I can ask for more info if needed)
Possible fixes
I don’t know. I have no why an error about a “css manifest” pops up. If an error was to pop up, shouldn’t it be about the import itself? Thanks in advance for your help!
